Our Services

Maritime Excellence

Comprehensive Marine Solutions

We procure high quality marine fuels from local refineries and global suppliers. We supply low sulphur fuel oil, high sulphur fuel oil and marine gasoil as bunker fuels. Our products comply with the ISO standard no. 8217:2017.

If the ship is in transit, we supply DMA (Marine Diesel), transit diesel, VLSFO (Very Low Sulfur Fuel Oil) and HSFO (High Sulfur Fuel Oil) in Turkey. In addition, we can supply ships where fuel is requested with SCT or abroad.

We can only supply transit diesel and DMA for land tankers (max 27 tons). In Barge supplies, we can complete the supply of all products.

Ultra-Low Sulphur Diesel for Diverse Applications

Automotive Gas Oil (AGO)

AGO, commonly known as road diesel, boasts a maximum sulphur content of 10 ppm, making it an Ultra-Low Sulphur Diesel (ULSD). Though primarily used for road vehicles, its high quality and versatility make it an ideal marine fuel for offshore and inland vessels.

At Kalimas, we ensure our AGO meets EN 590 standards, delivering reliable performance while keeping environmental impact minimal.

The Future of Sustainable Marine Fuels

VLSFO, DMA, HFSO

Distillate Marine Fuel is a grade specification for marine fuels. The “D” stands for “distillate,” and the “MA” refers to a specific category within distillate fuels. This categorization comes from the International Organization for Standardization’s ISO 8217 standard, which classifies marine fuels based on their properties and intended uses.

DMA is a type of Marine Gas Oil (MGO) and contains very low sulfur content. Suitable for most marine engines, DMA is known for its cleaner combustion, consistent performance, and ability to reduce emissions when compared to heavier, residual marine fuels. DMA fuels are primarily used in Category 3 marine engines or those with more than five liters per cylinder. This type of fuel is also commonly referred to as LSMGO, which stands for Low-Sulfur Marine Gas Oil. The naming emphasizes its low sulfur content, making it a preferred choice in regions with stringent environmental regulations.

The primary use of VLSFO is in the maritime sector, powering large vessels across the globe. Before the IMO 2020 regulation, most ships used High Sulfur Fuel Oil (HSFO) due to its lower cost. With the new regulation in effect, ships now have to switch to VLSFO, Marine Gas Oil (MGO), or install scrubbers to continue using HSFO while complying with the sulfur emission standards.
VLSFO has become the preferred choice for many due to its lower fuel cost compared to MGO and less complex implementation compared to fitting scrubbers.

Clean and Efficient Fuel for Marine Engines

Marine Gas Oil (MGO)

Formulated to meet ISO 8217 standards, MGO is essential for marine diesel engines, with a sulphur content capped at 0.1%. Its composition is designed for efficiency and compliance, ensuring optimal engine performance.

Available FAME-free on request, MGO is your reliable choice for clean maritime operations.
